Group Scout Council

On joining Boughton Monchelsea Scout Group, all parents and carers automatically become members of the Group Scout Council. The GSC provides support and oversight for scouting activities. It ensures that the BMSG Trusteed Board operates effectively and is accountable for the governance and administration of the Group and that each Section complies with all The Scout Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR), as well as those of the Charity Commission, but your voice is important too.

Every year, around September we hold the BMSG Annual General Meeting and as a parent and carer of a young person within our Group, we would appreciate your attendance at the meeting.  Not only will you get updates on the financial status of the Group, changes to any operational aspects of the Group, receive highlights from each section but you can also meet members of the Trustee Board.  We are keen to get as much support from our parents and carers so feel free to share your thoughts, ideas and frustrations so we can make BMSG an even better Group.
